WACA Board

  • Beautification Committee: Deirdre Ralph, Mark Peck, John Ralph and Paul Knittle

  • At Large: Sheila Golden, Erin Appel, Heidi Petras and Brian Lease

The Beautification Committee coordinates with the City to improve common areas within West Annapolis and leads Greenscape day in April. Common areas to be beautified are: the 2 entrance signs, 10 planters on Melvin Avenue, Lower Tucker Park, Tucker Street Park, Shiley Park, Tolson Street Park and Annapolis Street end. 

The Communication Committee manages the WACA Facebook page, community emails, and signage around town to help get the word out about upcoming events and other relevant information.

The Social Committee plans and executes entertaining events throughout the year for adults, kids, and families.

The West Annapolis Business Association strives to encourage and foster West Annapolis by creating a positive culture in support of successful local businesses, coupled with a strong community alliance.  WABA supports several major social events a year, including the Oktoberfest and an annual visit from the Clydesdale horses. The Business Association also provides representation with the City of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland representatives.
